Individually customised briquette press for various biogenic materials

Chips and residues that are produced in very large quantities (e.g. wood, agricultural residues, paper, textile dust, etc.) can best be formed into briquettes through the use of the RUF 1100+. To ensure briquettes of a consistently high quality and density, it is important that the water content of the starting material is below 15%. Briquette formats of either 240 x 70mm or 240 x 80mm are possible with this briquette press, again without the addition of any binding agents. A wide variety of options also enable the briquette press to be optimally tailored to customer requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the service life of a machine?

RUF briquette presses are very robust and are known for having a low level of wear and tear. Some of our systems have been in use for more than 25 years.

What are the requirements for producing briquettes?

In general, almost all materials can be made into briquettes. However, the chip particles should not be bigger than 50mm. The chips should not contain any impurities. For Wood & Biomass the moisture content should be less than 12 % (max 15 %).

What is the smallest amount of chips that makes briquetting worthwhile?

Briquetting can be worthwhile even with very small quantities of chips. Briquette presses with a lower throughput should be considered here. Depending on the material, our systems can make economic sense in these cases too. Our specialists will be happy to advise you!
