In 2020, Büttner became the first customer to test a RUF Formika, initially using it as a rental system connected directly to the machining centres to evaluate automated chip processing. By mid-2022, driven by consistently positive experiences, particularly in terms of automation, operational safety, and process optimisation, the company invested in a second Formika system, which has been successfully in use ever since.

At Büttner, the Formika handles a large variety of materials, including aluminium, steel, and non-ferrous metals.
