The Original - The RUF Briquette

World market leader RUF is offering its customers reliable briquetting plants for over 35 years.

For more than 35 years, the bavarian family-owned company RUF has been enabling its customers to generate added value by briquetting from residual materials. The success story begins in 1982, when Hans Ruf patented his first hydraulic press for organic waste materials. This also makes RUF the inventor of the well-known mould changing briquetting system. Today's press system of the machine is identical to the original and has been continuously developed since then.

The organic briquetting was quickly followed by other materials. Soon textiles, PU and finally various metals were successfully pressed into solid briquettes.
The advantages of briquetting are extensive. The raw material is greatly reduced in volume, which leads to savings in space, time and also costs for handling, storage and transport. When briquetting metals and aluminum, valuable cooling lubricants (oil or emulsion) can also be recovered, and a higher melt yield when re-melting is also possible.

The recycled residues are given a second chance in the raw material cycle, which makes briquetting a sustainable alternative.

A lot has happened since the early days of RUF. In the meantime, more than 10,000 press tests have been carried out on more than 1,000 different materials in the company's own test factory. This fact contributes significantly to the company's extensive and decades-long experience and makes RUF a specialist for the most diverse materials.

Since 2018 RUF is forming the Briquetting Experts together with C. F. Nielsen from Denmark. This means that the customer offers the entire world of briquetting from one source: Hydraulic, mechanical and extruder briquetting systems.
Today RUF briquetting systems are world-famous. More than 5,000 systems have already been sold in over 100 countries. A comprehensive quality promise comes first: 100% Power Made in Germany! This stands for custom-made and durable machines as well as individual project support and extensive service, which of course continues even after successful commissioning of the machine.
