Our RAP briquette press allows you to dispose of or recycle grinding sludge more cost effectively. Expensive cooling lubricants are also recovered during the briquetting process. In most cases, they can be reused. Since the properties of grinding sludge vary greatly, we recommend that you have your material tested in our Technical Centre free of charge. This will enable us to tailor the briquette press to your individual requirements.

How long does it take for the purchase of a briquetting press to pay for itself?

Amortisation periods can be less than three years, in certain cases even less than 1 year. However, the amortisation period depends on the material to be made into briquettes and the quantity. Thanks to the reduction in volume, costs for transport, storage and handling are cut. The amortisation period can be further reduced through the sale of the briquettes and the recovery of coolants.  

What are the price categories for the machines?

The costs of a briquette press depend on various factors, such as the starting material, required throughput and briquette density. Our experts will be happy to advise you on a one-to-one basis and can draw up a non-binding quote.

How is a test pressing done? Is it done free of charge?

Test pressing is done free of charge and without any obligation on your part, and is carried out in our Technical Centre using your own material. At your request, you can be present at the test pressing. The results are important for the choice of the briquetting machine – for example, briquette thickness, residual moisture, durability to withstand handling, the amount of cooling lubricants recovered, etc. The procedure: Here.
