RUF presents two new products: RUF Briklet and the LIGNUM series specially for wood

With the RUF Briklet, RUF Maschinenbau presented a new briquette system at the LIGNA trade fair 2017. You will be particularly impressed by the fact that the briquettes which are produced by a hydraulic stamp press can be conveyed automatically. In addition the exhibition visitors had the opportunity to judge the improved energy efficiency of the new LIGNUM range from the company for themselves.

From 22 to 26 May 2017 all renowned manufacturers and users of machines, systems and tools for woodworking and wood processing came together at the world’s leading trade fair, LIGNA, in Hannover. For this reason RUF Maschinenbau GmbH Co KG also exhibited various innovations in this field in Hall 25, Stand H66.

Taking centre stage was the newly-developed RUF Briklet press. It produces briquettes with a 30 mm diameter – a size which can be easily conveyed in automatic feeder systems. In addition this press is able to automatically compensate for different granulations during the briquetting process. This means that as well as wood, other different materials can also be processed. The RUF Briklet system is fitted with motors at energy efficient class IE3 and with wood chips it can achieve a throughput of around 300 kg/hour with a briquette density of ≥ 1. A central silo distributes the chips to two double-sided press parts. In this way briquettes are pressed through four outlets in total.

As a further highlight, with the LIGNUM series, RUF also showed exhibition visitors briquette systems which have been specially designed for wood processing. This range has been further optimised by the company’s design department. In this way increases in efficiency of around 25% can be achieved. For users this means that: They achieve a higher throughput with lower power consumption. One of the keys to this is the perfectly-adapted system hydraulics, which are designed and manufactured by RUF.
